OUR HURDLES.

IT'S IMPORTANT TO BE HONEST, EVEN IF IT SHOW'S THE THINGS WE HAVE MISSED. WE ARE CONSTANTLY DEVELOPING OUR PROCESSES AND SEEING OUR MISTAKES OR THINGS WE NEED TO BATTLE WILL HELP US OVERCOME THEM. IT'S IMPORTANT THAT IN NO WAY WE ARE EVER GREENWASHING, WE DON'T WANT TO RISK TRICKING OUR CUSTOMERS OR OUR SUPPLY CHAIN PARTNERS.

DYES.

Due to using all recycled product and not using any dyes this can sometimes cause some colour matching issues. Normally, the rib and the main fabric are dyed together in a big batch of toxic chemicals. Even brands using recycled fibres use extra dyes to re-dye the fabrics. To us this is madness. The reason we are using recycled fibre in the first place is to work through all the wasted fabrics which have already been created, why cancel out all this work by using harmful chemicals and more water?

We do not use any additional dyes, instead we use fabric cuttings and match the trims the best we can for the final garment. And instead of complaining we cannot get the perfect match, we see the beauty in this difference and embrace it. This image is of our black tee and is a perfect example of this shading issue. The shocking things is, in another brand, this would be rejected and then thrown away. Terrible hey!

THE FABRIC COVERINGS.

This is how fabric is delivered to factories. They cover it in plastic to make sure it's not damaged in the transit between mill and factory. We have discussed with the mill options of changing this plastic to a compostable options and they have been very supportive in their research and sourcing for us. As of now, the mill has bulk bought enough of this plastic to last at least another year and until this is used, financially they cannot add the extra cost right now. We are a small brand compared to their other clients and so far we are the ONLY brand to ask for this level of plastic free production. The factory has agreed to cut instead of rip so the plastic can be used again and once it is all used up we will work with them to source a compostable option. This is not the perfect solution, but we will get there.

OUR SIZING.

We would love to offer all the sizes and fits in the world. However, the very honest answer is, as we are still a small brand we don't have the financial nor order quantities to make more than 5 sizes per style. This is one of the reasons our Jersey range is all unisex. It means we can fit more people with less sizes. One day (soon) we will be able to add more fit and size options.
